Project Description
Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital Crumlin (OLCHC) is Ireland's largest pediatric hospital. As an acute pediatric teaching hospital, OLCHC are responsible for the majority of tertiary care services for children in Ireland including the national centre for cardiac surgery and hematology/oncology, major burns, medical genetics and medical research for childhood illnesses. Each year the Hospital treats over 24,500 inpatients/day cases, 30,100 E.D. attendances, 76,000 Out Patient attendances and performs over 13,500 operating procedures.
Since the hospital’s establishment the needs of patients, and their families, continue to grow and Garland have maintained a consistent relationship with OLCHC, in the continuous expansion and development of their available services and infrastructure, to ensure that optimum health care services are relentlessly delivered.
Garland were the engineers for the original construction of the hospital and since then have provided civil and structural engineering and project supervisor for the design process (PSDP) services on many essential hospital projects including:
