1-6 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay Under Construction

Construction has commenced on the iconic 1-6 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay (1SJRQ) project. 1SJRQ is a 6-storey office building with retail at ground level.  The site is located in Dublin’s SOBO district, directly opposite 1 Windmill Lane (1WML) project which we are also involved. The building has an overall floorspace of 15,000m² and will be constructed to a LEED gold standard.  GARLAND are acting as Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) for Hibernia REIT.

The project includes both the construction of the new commercial building and the restoration of existing buildings and facades at No. 2 and 4-5 SJRQ. The main building entrance faces onto the riverfront at Sir John Rogerson’s Quay and is accessed through a restored tramway gate. The riverfront elevation to the new building including the curved portion will be clad with a full height floor – ceiling frameless glazing system which also includes external vertically spanning glass fins.
