Garland Construction Regulations Guide Quoted

Sep 16, 2013

The Health & Safety Review, a journal of record on health, safety and environmental issues as they affect the workplace, has quoted our guide on the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regultions 2013.  The quote was within the Health & Safety Review's article "Construction Regulations: welcome consolidation".

"The consulting engineering firm Garland have also produced a guide to the regulations.  In relation to the preparation of a preliminary safety and health plan for work on domestic dwellings, they make the point that while private domestic clients are not required to make the plan available to those tendering the work, Garland believes that if the plan is not included in the information provided to each tendering project supervisor or contractor, then the costs associated with the plan are not included in the tender.  It is a point well made, which should be considered. "
