Garland CEO Appointed 2nd Vice President ACEI

Garland CEO, Kevin Rudden was elected as the 2nd Vice President of The Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland (ACEI) at their AGM on 22nd March 2013.
 
Established in 1938 – The ACEI is a voluntary self-regulatory professional body representing the business and professional interests of firms and individuals engaged in Consulting Engineering. As the voice of the Consulting Engineering profession, it assists in resolving issues of importance for clients and Consultants alike. The ACEI further contributes to the development of relevant public policy through involvement in Working Groups, Government Committees, and the development of model Conditions of Engagement, and policy papers, etc.

The ACEI is the Irish Representative Organization of EFCA (The European Federation of Consulting Engineering Associations) and FIDIC which represents engineering consultancy worldwide.

Kevin’s appointment is for a three-year term - Firstly as 2nd Vice President in 2013/2014, secondly as 1st Vice President in 2014/2015 and then as President for 2015/2016.

Kevin was an Executive Member of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland from 2004 to 2011 and served as Treasurer from 2006 to 2008 and Honorary Secretary from 2008 to 2010. He is currently The Convener of the Joint Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland/Institution of Engineers of Ireland, Health & Safety Committee.   He also represents the European Federation of Consulting Engineers Associations on the European Construction Safety Forum.  He also represents the ACEI at the Construction Safety Partnership (CSP), Construction Advisory Committee (CAC) and Joint Safety Advisory Panel (JSAP).
