Alan Tunnah

Associate 

Alan is GARLAND’s BIM Manager and has been an integral part of the company for over 35 years. With extensive experience in reinforced concrete and structural steelwork, Alan specializes in the production of comprehensive civil and structural drawings, as well as detailed 3D models using Revit, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.

He is highly skilled in collaborative platforms such as BIM360, Docs, Asite, and Oracle Submittal Exchange, and has worked on a wide range of projects alongside diverse teams using these tools. Alan is a specialist in structural concrete detailing, with expertise in cast in-situ structures and the preparation of schedules for precast fabrication, leveraging proprietary software like Multi-suite.

In addition to his technical responsibilities, Alan is a key member of GARLAND’s Operations Team and serves as the Quality Manager for the Dublin, Limerick, and Waterford offices, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards. He also serves as the company’s Intranet Administrator.

Alan possesses a practical understanding of the planning process, particularly in drainage design, discharge licensing, and the preparation of drainage layouts for planning applications. His broad technical knowledge, combined with decades of hands-on experience, makes him a valuable asset to GARLAND and its project teams.
